Privacy Policy

This policy explains what data ClickDown Tools collects, why we collect it, and what we do with it. We’ve written it in plain language rather than legalese so you can actually tell what happens to your information.
Who we are
ClickDown Tools is a product of 3rd Brain, operated at clickdowntools.com. It is a software layer that agencies run on top of their own ClickUp workspace to add CRM, client portals, and published documentation. If you have any questions about this policy or your data, email [email protected].
What the product does
ClickDown Tools connects to the tools your agency already uses — primarily ClickUp, and optionally Google — so you can manage your sales pipeline, give clients a scoped portal view of their work without a ClickUp seat, publish ClickUp-backed docs as share-ready sites, and export ClickUp task and time data into Google Sheets that you own. We read and write data through those services’ APIs at your direction; we are not a data warehouse and do not resell or repackage your data.
Google user data
When you connect a Google account to enable exporting to Google Sheets, we use Google OAuth. We request the following, and nothing more:
- The Drive file scope (
drive.file). This grants access only to the Google Drive files this app creates — the spreadsheets it provisions for your exports. It does not grant access to any of your other Drive files, folders, or documents. - Your email address, used to label the connection so you can tell which Google account is linked.
What we do with it
We write the ClickUp task and time data your agency chooses to export into the spreadsheets this app creates. Those spreadsheets live in, and belong to, the connected Google account — not us.
How it’s stored
We store the Google OAuth refresh token encrypted at rest, and a short-lived access token in a cache so exports can run. We do not store the contents of your spreadsheets, and we do not keep a separate copy of the data you export.
Sharing and selling
We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with third parties beyond the infrastructure that runs the service — our hosting provider (DigitalOcean), our proxy/CDN (Cloudflare), and the Google and ClickUp APIs themselves, which we call at your direction. Google user data is never used for advertising and is never transferred except as needed to provide the feature you asked for.
Revoking access and deletion
You can disconnect Google at any time in Settings. Disconnecting revokes the token and deletes it from our systems. You can also revoke access from your Google Account permissions page. Either way, the spreadsheets we created remain yours in your Google Drive.
ClickUp data
ClickDown Tools reads and writes your ClickUp data — tasks, lists, folders, docs, time entries, and similar — through the ClickUp API, using the connection you authorize. We do this to power your CRM, client portals, and published docs. Task content is fetched and cached only transiently to serve those views quickly; we do not warehouse a permanent copy of your ClickUp task content.
Account data
To run your agency workspace we store basic account information: your agency name and the email addresses used to sign in and to manage access. This is used to authenticate you and to operate the service.
Cookies
We use cookies only to keep you signed in (session authentication). We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
Data location and security
The service runs on DigitalOcean infrastructure behind Cloudflare. Traffic is served over TLS, and secrets such as OAuth tokens are encrypted at rest. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect the data you entrust to us.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the product changes. When we do, we’ll revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Material changes will be reflected here before they take effect.
